Unbusy, an exercise in achieving understated simplicity through typography. The design solution was found utilising the visual metaphor of unravelling clarity from the complex tangle of the day-to-day.
Black print on white makes the boldest statement in the most succinct way possible. Reducing the colour palette to its bare essentials not only saved the clients print expense it conveyed the book's essence at a glance.
Cover art is a design discipline with a distinct visual style of its own, often requiring a need to convey or infer the feel and meaning of the book's content in a moment. Competing for your attention on a shelf filled with competitors all vying for your attention is no mean feat.
This was a fun project that allowed us the freedom to enjoy implementing the fundamentals of graphic design.
